What is PASS?
PASS is an alternative part-time high school program for students who
want a self-paced, individualized approach to their education.
- Students work individually with teachers and set their own pace
to complete their courses.
- High school courses are broken up into smaller units (modules)
to be completed independently.
- On-site tutorial assistance is available from teachers every
Monday & Wednesday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 pm during each term.
- First Term
September 10, 2008 - January 12, 2009
- Second Term
February 9, 2009– June 10, 2009
- Teachers will advise students and keep students (& parents)
informed of progress on a regular basis. Frequent communication in
person, by phone or by email is highly encouraged.
- The school is sanctioned and approved by Alberta Education. The
courses offered and credits gained by the students are applied
toward their high school diploma.
Students are allowed to be registered in PASS and in another high
school.
Please note: High school students cannot be enrolled in the
same course at the same time in two different schools. This
means you cannot simultaneously take a course at your high
school and at PASS. Confirmation from your high school may be
needed before registering.
- Adult (over 19 years old) students are also welcome!
