elementary/Junior High Tutorials

Our Saturday morning Tutorial Program is specifically designed to assist students who want to raise their mark in Mathematics or Language Arts, Grades 3 - 9 . Tutorials can benefit students in regular classes with a variety of learning needs, including those who need help passing a course.

Please note: These tutorials are NOT recommended for ESL, K&E (Knowledge and Employability Program) or behavior coded students! They are designed for students in regular programs.

With a maximum ratio of 12 students per teacher, each student receives more "one-on-one" attention than in a typical classroom setting. Tutorials boost students' confidence in specific subject areas and assist students to complete homework and improve their overall understanding of course materials. Students can expect to cover their specific problem areas.

Please bring a recent report card or a note from your teacher indicating your specific area(s) of difficulty. Please remember to bring your textbook, a scribbler and a pencil. Samples of your regular class work will greatly help the teacher. Students registering in the junior high math tutorials must bring a calculator with them.

A progress report will be issued at the end of the program, allowing you to see exactly what was covered and how your child progressed.

All tutorials are held at Sacred Heart Centre at 9624 - 108 Avenue, phone: (780) 944-2000.

The time of the sessions are: Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
